We are delighted to announce that we have received three awards at 2020’s Water Industry Awards. This included ‘Water Industry Contractor of the Year’ award for the third consecutive year. Making up our trio of awards were:
Health & Safety Initiative of the Year – Mental Health Risk Assessment Plus (MHRA+)
The judges commented “Innovative and robust initiative, well-supported by appended evidence, which demonstrably fits into a high quality, well-grounded H&S management system.”
Women in Water – ASP Batch: Severn Trent, CiM6 (Costain and Stantec), MMB and nmcn – ‘The Golden Thread’ of women delivering the ASP Batch
The judges said, “This is a really great example of women in water at every level, the impact that can be made and the positive role model contributions can clearly be seen.”
Unfortunately, due to the Coronavirus, the physical award ceremony was cancelled. However, event organisers Water & Wastewater Treatment (WWT) brought us a show stopping virtual celebration.
The virtual awards ceremony took place on Thursday 20th July, with over 550 professionals from water companies, regulators and contractors in attendance.
The Water Industry Awards celebrate and reward outstanding achievement, innovation and best practice across the UK water industry. Organised by the people behind the leading business media brands in UK water, Water & Wastewater Treatment, WET News, and linked event Utility Week Live, the awards have become a must- attend event in the water sector’s calendar, and are highly prized within the industry.
Now in their 14th year, the Water Industry Awards recognise the excellent work of UK water companies and their supply chain to innovate across their operations, among their workforce and with customers. From asset optimisation to product innovation and all points between, the awards are all about the people in companies making change happen. Now more than ever we salute these achievements.
Andy Langman, chief operating officer for our Water segment, said: “I’m delighted that the hard work and dedication of our people has been recognised for the third consecutive year at the Water Industry Awards. The positive impact of our activities on our people, our customers and other stakeholders continues to impress me and I look forward to what we can achieve moving forward .”
The Judges said: “nmcn have shown they are not only well-integrated within the sector, but continue to deliver on the standards built into their business model”
Congratulations to all the other winners from this year’s awards.
