nmcn (formerly North Midland Construction PLC)have achieved 7 gold awards across all divisions in the 61st year of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2017. nmcn achieved the President’s award in recognition of achieving more than 10 consecutive Gold awards in the prestigious annual scheme run by RoSPA. Water won their 8th gold award with the Build Environment business unit all winning their 7th consecutive gold award. The awards will be presented during a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel, on Wednesday 12th July. The award was achieved during a special year for RoSPA, as it celebrates it centenary. Through the RoSPA Awards scheme, which is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas, judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement. Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of awards and events, said: “The RoSPA Awards are the most prestigious in the world for occupational health and safety, they are held in high regard, as winning one demonstrates an organisations commitment to maintaining an excellent health and safety record. Achieving the standard required is no mean feat.
