Get involved in our Children’s Christmas Competition with “My Christmas Wish” baubles!

10th December 2020

In the run up to the festive season, we are hosting a competition with three chances to win a hamper full of goodies!

Simply download and print our nmcn and Mind charity bauble here, and colour and decorate it with the theme: “my Christmas Wish for 2021”!  Within the bauble, illustrate what you’re most looking forward to for the year ahead.

Print on paper or card, and use whatever you like! From crayons and paint to glitter, felt, pom poms or pipe cleaners. Include this activity as part of your Christmas crafts, and get creative at school or at home. You could even use the design as a real Christmas tree decoration, as a keepsake.

The competition is free to enter, however, if you would like to support our corporate charity partner, Mind, please donate £3 with your entry via our Just Giving link. Use the reference “CHRISTMAS WISH.”

To enter, take a photo of your bauble and email it to us at positive.impact@nmcn.com, or tag nmcn on social media.

The competition is open to all ages and there are three chances to win, as we select:

  1. Most creative – best use of materials, colours and decoration
  2. Best theme – best ideas and use of space in relation to the theme
  3. Wildcard – selected at random

The deadline for entries is 18th December at 12pm.

We want to use this opportunity to encourage classes of young people and families to participate in this fun, creative activity.

With the pandemic having a profound impact on mental health and wellbeing, we hope that this exercise will encourage children to think about happier times and their hopes for the future, decorating their bauble in a way that makes them happy.

Crafts are also great for supporting mental health and are known to help with anxiety.

Mind provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem, and campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. The pandemic has brought great uncertainty, with 2020 seeing more people turning to Mind and their services than ever before.

To be in with a chance of winning, simply use your imagination and get colouring! We can’t wait to see your submissions!
