We currently employ 38 apprentices covering general construction, bricklaying, carpentry, plant, mechanical, electrical and business administration across our regional offices.
New apprenticeships are being offered this year across a variety of disciplines in all our regional offices. Our plan is to grow across the group and we are looking to add an additional 80 apprenticeships.
In addition professional apprenticeships will be offered, as part of the NM Academy, the company’s training and development operation. 36 people are already part way through a further education day release course, covering quantity surveying and commercial management, civil engineering, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering.
“Apprenticeships provide a great opportunity for people to earn whilst they train,” said Karen Morris, HR director. “As a business we are committed to providing opportunities to apprentices and helping young people develop their careers with us, as we are to the development of all of our people and this commitment comes from the very top.”
If you would be interested in applying for an apprenticeship with us or would like a bit more information please visit our careers page.
